Eligibility & Rules

The contest is open worldwide to students aged 11 to 18.

If submitting as a group, all members must be named and meet the age eligibility requirements of 11 to 18 years old and be listed in the submission.

Each student can only submit one entry per category.

Individuals or groups are eligible to submit entries, but in the case of a group submission, one member must serve as the main point of contact. 

Entering the contest is free of charge.

An adult sponsor (a teacher, parent, guardian, or mentor) must be listed with his or her email address.

All submissions must be created by the students themselves. While existing sources can serve as inspiration and research, Green Innovation Challenge reserves the right to disqualify entries suspected or found to be plagiarized. The use of AI-generators, including ChatGPT or DALL-E, is also considered plagiarism, and any entry using such tools will result in disqualification and notification of the sponsor. To be considered for judging, entries must be submitted in English or have an English translation.
